It is a common fallacy that the Toastmaster only represents pomp and formality. However, it is far from that.

The role of a Toastmaster is many and varied, depending on the function, but essentially it is to ensure that your day runs smoothly and is memorable for everyone.

Whatever the event, be it a wedding, civil ceremony, an awards dinner or charity function you will have spent many months planning it, and I dare say stressing about it too.

My role, as your toastmaster, will be to ensure that your event is conducted in an orderly and smooth manner.

On the day I will control your event as your presenter, diplomat, communicator and organiser.

I will liaise with venue staff, caterers, entertainment providers etc. and ensure that your event runs to time as well as introduce guests and speeches at the appropriate time.

I will bring an air of authority to your occasion, delivered with tact and understanding.
